As a Retail Shift Supervisor, you'll be the leader supporting and encouraging your whole team. Ensuring an excellent operational & visual experience for your store, customers & colleagues. You'll be aware of your store's strengths, opportunities, and competitors. Customer Sales & Profit play a pivotal role in determining the financial performance and sustainability of a company

  • Your primary task is to ensure the complete customer journey within your store is curated to match international standards for visual and commercial aspects
  • Promoting a positive perception of yourself and the H&M brand during customer engagements
  • It's vital to acknowledge and manage the strengths within your department while actively identifying and responding to commercial opportunities for continued progress
  • Formulate and analyze sales and budget targets, devising strategies to improve achievement outcomes
  • Ensure that customer support is provided in every area of the store, and equip your team with the ability to actively promote and sell products to clients
  • Your team demonstrates a strong commitment to promoting our Customer Loyalty App, Hello Member, and sustainability initiatives in our stores
  • Guide your team in managing the department's finances in a cost-effective manner
  • Follow the designated guidelines for fitting room operations and checkouts, encompassing transactional tasks, returns, and item exchanges
  • Ensure the accurate handling of all administrative responsibilities for both personnel and operations

Fashion and trend awareness require having a good grasp of what styles and designs are currently in demand

  • Stay updated on the fashion scene by following trends, styles, brands, products, competition, and relevant influencers
  • Task your team with sharing product and fashion knowledge alongside other pertinent information during customer engagements

Team & Development

  • Responsible for the staffing process, onboarding procedures, performance assessments, and professional development of the team in the store
  • Establish and execute performance evaluations and succession arrangements to cater to the business and team requirements adequately
  • Hold firm to and share your understanding and talents with your team
  • Strategic planning and harmonious teamwork with the in-store Visual Merchandiser team are key factors in achieving successful collaboration and impactful visual displays
  • Take part in feedback discussions with colleagues to develop skills, broaden knowledge, and offer backing to one another
  • Accountable for ensuring the team's plans and schedules are efficiently organized
  • Periodic engagement with store team members to keep them in the loop, energize their efforts, and kindle their drive with regular touchpoints and meetings
  • Maintain the implementation of all protocols, routines, and legal requirements throughout the entire store
  • Participate in the onboarding and introduction procedures, training modules, and courses that are applicable to your role and career advancement

Retail operations demand attention to detail in areas such as inventory control, vendor relationships, and sales forecasting, whereas visual and commercial execution involves bringing brand concepts to life through innovative visual displays

  • Maintain a clean and well-organized store environment in both customer-facing and storage areas
  • Maintain a focus on garment care to uphold high fashion standards, visually appealing product presentation, and successful commercial outcomes
  • - Secure sufficient stock levels and give insights on allocation to the Area team
  • Follow our established standards and procedures to uphold a consistent garment cycle, covering the processes from item delivery to display in-store, and conduct fitting room procedures in line with our prescribed routines while making use of the tools and technology provided
  • Stay informed and compliant with the guidelines for in-store OMNI services, in-store technology tools, and resources like the Instore Care App, Click & Collect, and Smart Store applications
  • Ensure a stable balance and regulate the presentation of pricing labels within the retail outlet and across the sales premises according to guidelines that adhere to global and local strategies & sales market/regional prerequisites to uphold a resilient and uniform pricing impression throughout the store
  • Maintaining the tidiness and safety of behind-the-scenes areas for all colleagues by updating key information and health and safety guidelines
  • Responsible for the daily commencement and termination of store tasks
