Position Summary

The Sales Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing store sales processes, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the sales team in achieving performance goals. This role bridges sales strategy and daily operations, focusing on driving efficiency, coaching team members, and maintaining brand standards. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing sales results while ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance Management

• Analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Support the sales team in achieving and exceeding individual and store sales goals.

• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies, promotions, and campaigns to maximize revenue.

• Monitor sales floor performance and provide coaching or feedback to team members to improve results.

Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring processes run efficiently and in alignment with company policies.

• Manage inventory flow, stockroom organization, and replenishment to ensure merchandise is available and properly displayed.

• Support execution of visual merchandising standards, Floorsets, and seasonal resets.

• Maintain compliance with safety, asset protection, and operational standards.

Team Development & Coaching

• Serve as a mentor and resource for sales associates, providing training and guidance to improve skills and performance.

• Assist store leadership in onboarding, developing, and retaining top-performing team members.

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivated team culture (#AEOFamily).

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and maintain operational reports, including sales performance, inventory metrics, and staff productivity.

• Identify inefficiencies in processes and recommend solutions to improve workflow and sales performance.

• Collaborate with store leadership to implement best practices and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven retail or sales experience with leadership or operations management exposure.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales and operational data.

• Excellent communication, coaching, and team leadership abilities.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems, retail technology, and data reporting tools.

• Experience with inventory management, visual merchandising, and operational workflows.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team.

• Business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
