Sanitation Specialist

Job Description:

The role of an Sanitation Specialist involves cleaning dishes, preparing food, and providing room services for guests in the food industry

As part of their job responsibilities, the attendant inspects assigned areas during their shifts to ensure cleanliness and makes corrections as required:

• The appropriate tools and solutions are employed to clean and disinfect restrooms, basins, showers, bathtubs, and other relevant fixtures.
• The allotted space is kept clean by performing floor cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and dusting.
• The responsibility of transporting, discarding, and disposing of stained fabrics, garbage, and biohazardous materials.
• Keeping a close eye on the inventory levels of supplies in designated areas to ensure that they remain adequate.
• Taking part in quality improvement programs enables healthcare professionals to identify areas of improvement in their operations.
• It is imperative to report any required repairs or services to hospital facilities immediately.
• Executing specialized cleaning tasks when necessary.

Job Type:

• The contract-to-hire position is a temporary job position that allows candidates to work for a fixed period with the potential to become a permanent employee

Work Environment:

• The job demands flexible schedules, with a focus on beginning morning shifts and serving as a backup.
• The time range for the day shift is between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM
• The time range of 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM falls under the swing shift category of work
• Hospital cleanliness and safety are crucial responsibilities of the Environmental Services Department (EVS) which gets it done.
• Keeping the environment free from germs is the main responsibility, with emphasis on maintaining all surfaces tidy and uncontaminated, adhering to established protocols for the well-being of patients, visitors, and caregivers.
• The prescribed uniform for this job consists of black scrubs and slip-resistant shoes. In the initial week of employment, the worker receives two shirts and a badge. All borrowed items must be returned within 24 hours of completing the job or the next day in the event of termination.
