Sanitation Worker

Job Description:

As an experienced Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for providing essential supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and tissues, to areas that require them. You will also need to make sure that cleaning supplies are regularly checked and kept up to date. Additionally, your role will include the safe disposal of medical waste and trash, always ensuring that all trash cans are properly sanitized with a fresh liner.

Top Skills:

• Competence in adhering to cleanliness standards
• A thorough understanding of the different types of chemicals and equipment used for cleaning is necessary to ensure safe and correct application
• Managing medical waste is often a collaborative effort between healthcare workers, environmental specialists and government officials
• When moving furniture on stairs or narrow passages, take extra precautions and avoid pushing or pulling the furniture as it can lead to injury or damage

Job Type

The contract is for a stipulated term of three months only.

Work Environment

The hospital is seeking an individual to join its team, where he/she will work with a team of 6 to 8 employees under the supervision of a Lead EVS and report to the Director of Plant Operations. The hospital has 36 rooms and occupies 60,000 sq ft, which includes a cafeteria, 3 smaller gyms, and a common area.
