Role Overview:
Support clients in monitoring state and federal grants, including eligibility, reporting, and recipient/subrecipient monitoring.
Work closely with managers and clients across all phases of the grants lifecycle.
Provide expertise to State/local governments, tribal governments, healthcare organizations, and nonprofit entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate client needs and recommend project approaches and strategies.
Understand and apply federal/state grant regulations (2 CFR 200, EO’s, OMB memoranda, ARPA, BIA, DHHS, IHS, IIJA).
Assist in reviewing funding requests and developing competitive grant applications.
Provide grants monitoring and oversight, including recipient and subrecipient monitoring.
Review and analyze grantee budgets for reasonableness and allowability of costs.
Support clients through pre-award, post-award, and closeout phases.
Prepare client deliverables ensuring quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
Support internal process improvement and knowledge sharing.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal teams and clients.
Provide guidance to tribal, healthcare, and nonprofit clients aligning funding with strategic goals.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
3+ years of successful grants management experience.
Prior consulting or advisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with state/local governments, tribal governments, healthcare organizations, and nonprofits.
Grant writing and application development experience.
Training and Technical Assistance experience (preferred).
Familiarity with ARPA, BIA, DHHS, IHS, IIJA, or EPA-funded programs.
Knowledge of federal compliance requirements and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
Grants-related certifications (CGMS, GPC, PMP, CPA, etc.).
Budgeting, risk assessment, and recipient monitoring experience.
Understanding of the procurement lifecycle.
Leadership experience and ability to provide guidance to others.

Team Overview – Government Sector Services:
Offers assurance, advisory, and outsourcing services to governmental clients including federal, state, local, and municipal entities.
Helps clients navigate regulatory requirements, GASB pronouncements, and federal grant administration.
Supports large programs funded by ARPA, CARES, FEMA, HUD-CDBG, IIJA, IRA, EPA, and other federal programs.
Advises clients on compliance, operational efficiency, and resource maximization.
