Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on federal income tax matters, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues, accounting methods, digital assets, and other tax issues.

• Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal corporate restructuring.

• Draft emails, memos, and firm-wide alerts on current federal tax developments.

• Support Firm-wide federal tax trainings.

• Assist with federal domestic tax due diligence in connection with M&A transactions.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience (large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS preferred).

• J.D. degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tax LL.M.

• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations.

• Strong analytical and writing skills.

• Proficiency with tax research databases such as Bloomberg BNA and RIA Checkpoint.

Compensation

• Minnesota & Illinois: $100,000 – $150,000

• New York & California: $80,000 – $115,000

• Compensation in other geographies may vary based on market differences. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other legally permitted factors.
