We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping And Receiving Clerk to join our construction company. This role involves managing the flow of materials in and out of our shop and ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming trucks to pick up materials and check their paperwork for loading requirements.
• Organize materials and parts based on paperwork and load trucks accordingly.
• Verify that loads are secure and take photographs for documentation purposes.
• Offload received materials and stock them appropriately.
• Maintain inventory and track stock levels to ensure availability of parts for jobs.

Essential Skills

• Experience in inventory control and management.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Background in shipping and receiving.
• Excellent material handling skills.
• Effective customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in loading trucks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in shipping and receiving.
• Experience in tracking inventory and organization.
• Proactive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Background in construction or mechanical industry.

Work Environment

Work in an open-aired shop with a small team of 9 people. The role may require working outside at times. Typical hours are 6:30 am to 3 pm, occasionally extending to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with rare Saturday shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
