The Shop Manager is also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, as well as managing budgetary constraints and cost-control measures

Overall Job Summary:

The Shop Manager is charged with attaining the Sales and Profit goals in the Store by developing a strategy to furnish the Finest Customer Experience. They are responsible for creating a top-tier team, fostering their progress, overseeing talent and leadership cultivation, and implementing a structured performance appraisal system for the Store Team based on achievements, tenets, and leadership qualities. Adherence to lawful requirements and H&M standards, policies, and protocols is crucial for the Shop Manager to satisfy the requirements of customers and colleagues effectively.

Your Everyday Schedule

Sales and Profit

• Continuously evaluate Sales & Profit Key Performance Indicators and adjust strategies to enhance overall results
• Follow H&M store operational guidelines and industry best practices to streamline activities and improve efficiency, particularly in scheduling tasks to boost conversion rates and support commercial endeavors. Emphasize the importance of delivering outstanding customer service within the confines of the designated labor hour budget to maximize operational effectiveness
• Coordinate efforts with the Area and Store team to prioritize tasks and deliver assessments on store allocations for securing a high-quality assortment that drives sales effectiveness
• Develop and execute budget-friendly approaches for maintaining the store to comply with H&M standards and take proactive actions
• Ensure losses are minimized by working alongside the Store Team and following Audit guidelines diligently
• Get involved in the completion of store procedures and tasks, which could include working with the delivery truck, handling garment processing, implementing reductions, and updating pricing information

People and Teams

• Supervise the recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for the Store following H&M's best practices
• Assess and handle the performance of Store Team members, execute discussions, create development plans, provide feedback, and conduct follow-ups, and implement actions to boost performance to meet the business needs
• Foster a culture of continuous and transparent communication within the Store team regarding Business Performance, Company Culture & Values, and Country/Sales Market/Area/Store objectives through scheduled Store Meetings and Leadership Meetings
• Uphold the necessary health, safety, legal, and security standards to the level expected by H&M and required by local regulations, ensuring the protection of both employees and customers without compromise
• Cultivate a stronger Company Culture by advocating for feedback to be integrated into our daily work routines and supporting the Store Team in embracing this ideology

• The store bears the responsibility for achieving sales targets and enhancing profits
• Exact recording of sales data and time allocation

• To operate effectively in today's world, one must have basic computer skills like browsing the internet, using software, and entering data
• Supporting other store branches, attending meetings, and engaging in training may entail occasional travel

Position Category: Salaried, Non-exempt (Exempt in high-achieving branches)

Compensation for Shop Managers is set within the range of $59,505 to $66,944 per year
