About the Role

As a Store Associate, you will be the face of H&M, providing friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service to customers. Your role includes supporting all aspects of store operations, from assisting customers with their purchases to maintaining merchandise presentation and store upkeep. You will work closely with your team to ensure every visitor enjoys a seamless shopping experience.

A Day in the Life

Your typical responsibilities will include:

Customer Service & Sales Support

• Greet and engage customers warmly, responding to their questions and needs.

• Guide customers through the store’s product range, sharing fashion tips and brand stories.

• Assist customers with purchases at the checkout and answer inquiries about promotions or loyalty programs.

• Promote sustainable shopping initiatives and H&M’s customer loyalty app.

Merchandise & Store Presentation

• Ensure merchandise is attractively displayed and replenished regularly.

• Assist with unpacking deliveries, tagging, and organizing stock.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe sales floors and stockrooms.

• Support fitting room operations, including customer assistance and upkeep.

Teamwork & Store Operations

• Collaborate with colleagues to meet store sales targets and operational goals.

• Participate in training sessions to develop product knowledge and customer service skills.

• Support store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and health & safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Who You Are

• Enthusiastic about fashion and customer service.

• Friendly, approachable, and a strong communicator.

• Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Comfortable standing for long periods and handling physical tasks.

• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory.

• Basic computer literacy to use store technology and systems.
