Role and Responsibilities of Store Receiver:

As a DSD Store Receiver, you will ensure the proper receiving of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) products by following Food Lion policies and procedures. You will also help maintain compliance with company standards, enhance sales through excellent service, and protect company assets while minimizing shrink.

• Foster a vibrant culture of customer engagement through swift, friendly, and precise service.
• Show consideration and offer helpful aid to your coworkers.
• Preserve company assets through meticulous attention to detail in tracking the receipt and return of DSD products.
• Enforce the vendor receiving directives laid out by Food Lion.
• Engage vendors in solving errors, policy violations, or excess inventory.
• Work in conjunction with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure that vendor promotions are timely and effective.
• Execute the weekly merchandising tasks effectively and with improved efficiency.
• Confirm the accuracy of DSD plan-o-grams for verification.
• Stay organized by accounting for and filing daily and weekly DSD tickets, as well as invoices related to beer and wine orders.
• Double-check EDI invoices to confirm all payments have been cleared with no outstanding dues.
• Manage the proper handling of all claims and damages in a systematic way.
• Undertake tasks related to the CAO role, specifically managing and rotating cigarette cartons within the stock.
• Effectively manage inventory through the use of ACIS (Average Cost Inventory System) and CAO procurement system.
• Adhere to the standards, policies, and best practices mandated by the company.
• Uphold standards for both food safety and workplace safety, promptly identifying and rectifying any unsafe conditions.
• Carry out the necessary steps outlined by Food Lion by reporting accidents with associates and customers to the Manager on Duty.
• Adhere to the regulations stipulated by local, state, and federal laws to remain compliant.
• Follow the dress code by wearing the Food Lion uniform and ensuring your name badge is prominently displayed, maintaining a professional and tidy appearance.
• Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid programs.
• Perform other tasks as specified.

Required Skills and Experience of Store Receiver:

• Preference is given to those who have completed high school or its equivalent.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service prowess.
• Proficiency and eagerness to comprehend multiple tasks and technical job requirements.
• Executing solutions by utilizing technical know-how.
• Compliance with the minimum age requirements is a mandatory aspect for successfully carrying out the duties associated with the job.
• Aptness to fulfill the physical demands of the position, whether accommodations are needed or not.

Physical Requirements of Store Receiver:

• Proficient with computers and other communication technologies essential for job functions.
• Perform iterative actions involving the hands and arms.
• Lift loads of 15 lbs. consistently, handle up to 25 lbs. regularly, and manage 50 lbs. occasionally by bending and lifting.
• Exert force to push or carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs. periodically.
• Stay standing and walk short distances often.
• Handle substances used in the sanitation of packaging materials, fresh produce, flowers, and domestic cleaning supplies.
• Continuously process cash transactions and operate equipment like registers, lottery terminals, scanners, computers, and calculators.
• Perform frequent reaching and grasping at waist level; occasionally reach above shoulder/below waist.
• Attain the performance goals set for the position.
• Execute responsibilities in extreme hot or cold conditions for a duration of up to 20 minutes as directed.
• Retain sufficient visual capacity to verify IDs, checks, invoices, and other forms of written communication.
