Overall Job Summary:

The Store Supervisor is responsible for reaching the Sales and Profit goals in the Store by setting a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience. The Store Supervisor will ensure to have the Best Team and support their development, as well as work with talent and leadership development and structured performance management for the Store Team based on results, values, and leadership. The Store Supervisor will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.

Under the supervision of the Area Sales Manager, this role involves overseeing the following team members: Store Visual Manager (depending on store sales), Department Manager, Department Supervisor (based on sales volume), Visual Merchandisers (based on sales volume), Cash Office Responsible (based on sales volume), as well as Sales Associates.

Your Everyday Activities

Sales and Profit

• Consistently review and act on Sales & Profit KPIs to capitalize on opportunities and enhance profitability
• Follow established H&M store operation guidelines and industry best practices by implementing efficient scheduling practices that drive conversion rates, enable commercial activities, and maintain excellent customer service levels. Manage labor hour allocations responsibly to achieve optimal operational performance and stay within the sales budget
• Coordinate closely with the Area and Store team to prioritize tasks and offer evaluations on store allocations to establish a desirable merchandise mix that drives sales growth
• Strategize cost-efficient maintenance practices for the store to align with H&M standards and take appropriate actions when needed
• Proactively work with the Store Team to prevent losses and adhere to Audit guidelines appropriately
• Participate in actively carrying out store routines and tasks, which can involve tasks like managing the delivery truck, processing garments, applying reductions, and updating pricing information

People and Teams

• Direct the recruitment, training, growth, and succession planning for the Store following H&M's preferred practices
• Analyze and oversee the Store Team members' performance, conduct dialogues, create development strategies, provide feedback, and carry out follow-ups, taking actions to enhance performance to support the business requirements
• Promote ongoing and open communication with the Store team regarding Business Performance, Company Culture & Values, and Country/Sales Market/Area/Store goals through daily Store Meetings and recurring Leadership Meetings
• Consistently meet the required standards for health, safety, legal compliance, and security measures as outlined by H&M and local regulations, with a focus on protecting the safety of employees and customers
• Cultivate a more vibrant Company Culture by fostering a feedback-centric environment in our daily work and coaching the Store Team on how to engage in this culture

Financial Accountability

• The store is accountable for both generating sales and maximizing profits
• Precise monitoring of sales metrics and time expended

Store Supervisor Qualifications

Who You Are

• You are adept at raising objects that are heavier than 20 pounds
• Ability to stay upright for extended periods, bend, stretch, carry out repetitive tasks, push, pull, and transport objects (such as mannequins, clothing, containers, body forms, etc.) over a brief distance
• Skill in ascending a ladder and utilizing a footstool for added reach
• Complete availability for evenings and weekends
• We are seeking individuals with a minimum of two to three years of experience in leading employees at a managerial level
• Basic computer competencies, which include browser navigation, software operation, and data entry, are a necessity
• Essential travel may be necessary to provide aid to other stores, attend meetings, and participate in training sessions
