Job Summary of Substitute Learning Assistant:

Support classroom teachers by aiding students in educational tasks, managing classroom organization, and providing individualized assistance. Encourage the academic and personal growth of students, particularly those with specific learning challenges.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Substitute Learning Assistant:

• Provide students with tailored educational support either individually or in small group environments.
• Aid in promoting a positive learning environment through the successful management of the classroom setting.
• Aid in managing administrative responsibilities and preparing necessary materials.
• Supervise students across various school environments, such as eating spaces, play areas, and external learning opportunities.
• Give support to students in accordance with the customized accommodations specified in their IEPs or 504 Plans.
• Help students with their academic, personal, and emotional well-being.
• Fulfill extra duties as required by the teacher in the classroom or the school administration.

Qualifications and Experience of Substitute Learning Assistant:

• The educational threshold often requires individuals to hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency demonstrated in all aspects of English language usage (speaking, reading, writing).
