Job Summary of Substitute Mentor:

Take charge of classroom instruction and reinforce educational objectives in alignment with established guidelines when the regular teacher is not present. Maintain a structured learning environment following school policies and behavioral expectations. This role presents an opportunity to cultivate teaching proficiency and support student advancement.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Substitute Mentor:

• Comply with and enact lesson plans as guided by the absent teacher.
• Sustain a controlled and secure classroom environment.
• Aid students in grasping the content of the subject matter and finishing their tasks.
• Report any student-related accidents, health concerns, or significant misconduct cases to the appropriate school officials.
• Complete additional responsibilities as instructed by school administration.

Qualifications and Experience of Substitute Mentor:

• The eligibility for non-certified positions includes having a New Jersey Substitute Certification and a minimum of 30 college credits.
• It is necessary to possess a valid certification from New Jersey for Continuing Education (CE), Certified Educational Administration and Supervision (CEAS), or Standard Teacher Certification.
• Mastery of the English language across its different components, including speaking, reading, and writing.
