Job Summary of Substitute Teacher Aide:

Support classroom teachers by assisting students with instructional activities, classroom management, and individualized support. Help promote academic and personal growth for students, including those with special needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Substitute Teacher Aide:

• Provide instructional support for individual students or small groups.
• Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Prepare materials and assist with administrative tasks.
• Supervise students in various school settings, including cafeterias, playgrounds, and field trips.
• Support students with special needs based on their IEPs or 504 Plans.
• Assist with students’ academic, personal, and emotional needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.

Qualifications and Experience of Substitute Teacher Aide:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
