Job Summary of Substitute Teaching Assistant:

Support school districts in ensuring educational consistency by providing proficient instruction in the absence of regular teachers, engaging students through structured lesson delivery, maintaining classroom discipline, and following designated lesson plans.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Substitute Teaching Assistant:

• Carry out lesson plans and provide instruction as per the school’s guidelines.
• Create a secure and organized classroom setting.
• Help students grasp the material and finish their academic tasks.
• Report to school authorities on student development, attendance patterns, and disciplinary challenges for appropriate action.
• Complete extra tasks as assigned by school administrators.

Qualifications and Experience of Substitute Teaching Assistant:

• A minimum of 30 credits from a college or university is required, along with a Substitute Certification for those who do not hold a teaching certification.
• Certified applicants must hold a current NJ CE, CEAS, or Standard Teacher Certification.
• Competence in all aspects of the English language: speaking, reading, and writing.

Salary:
