Overview

Intuit is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Tax Expert to join our TurboTax Live team. In this role, you will provide professional tax guidance and support to individuals and small businesses during tax season. You will combine tax expertise, personalized client service, and community engagement to help clients achieve positive financial outcomes while supporting Intuit’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise: Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, advise clients on deductions, credits, and tax planning strategies. Handle simple to complex tax scenarios, including amendments, investments, and life-event-related filings.

• Client Relationship Management: Build long-term trust with clients by understanding their financial situations and providing tailored, actionable advice.

• Educate and Empower Clients: Explain complex tax topics in plain language and offer guidance to improve clients’ financial confidence.

• Community Engagement: Represent TurboTax in your local community, both in-person and virtually, supporting outreach and client acquisition initiatives.

• Ensure Compliance: Stay current with federal and state tax laws, regulations, and TurboTax software updates to provide accurate and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Active credentials as an EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Tax Attorney.

• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).

• Minimum of 2 years of professional tax preparation experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 returns per season.

• Strong knowledge of Circular 230 and current tax regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts.

• Entrepreneurial mindset to manage and grow client relationships.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay depending on location ($26.20 – $36.10/hr).
