Tax Partner - Mergers & Acquisitions

Job Description:

EisnerAmper is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Partner to join our growing Private Equity team. In this leadership role, you will provide strategic tax advisory services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Structuring: Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for M&A transactions, divestitures, and reorganizations.

• Due Diligence: Lead tax due diligence efforts for private equity transactions, identifying potential risks and opportunities.

• Transaction Advisory: Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to ensure seamless deal execution.

• Portfolio Management: Provide ongoing tax advisory to portfolio companies, including compliance, restructuring, and exit planning.

• Tax Technical Expertise: Stay updated on U.S. and international tax laws affecting private equity and M&A.

• Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with private equity clients.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering excellence and collaboration.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness in tax advisory and compliance functions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA or equivalent certification required.

• 12+ years of tax experience, with significant focus on M&A and private equity transactions.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, international tax concepts, and partnership taxation.

• Proven track record of leading tax due diligence and structuring for complex transactions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Leadership experience with the ability to inspire high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (JD, LLM, MBA, or MST).

Compensation:

• Minnesota & Illinois: $170,000 – $300,000. Other locations vary by market. Actual compensation based on experience and other factors.
