Job Summary of Teaching Support Assistant:

Support classroom teachers by aiding students in educational tasks, managing classroom organization, and providing individualized assistance. Encourage the academic and personal growth of students, particularly those with specific learning challenges.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Teaching Support Assistant:

• Provide guidance and help to students on an individual basis or in smaller, focused gatherings.
• Aid in promoting a positive learning environment through the successful management of the classroom setting.
• Compile resources and support in managing administrative responsibilities.
• Supervise students across various school environments, such as eating spaces, play areas, and external learning opportunities.
• Provide support to students with special needs according to the guidelines set out in their IEPs or 504 Plans.
• Help students with their academic, personal, and emotional well-being.
• Carry out supplementary responsibilities as required by the teacher in the classroom or the school administration.

Qualifications and Experience of Teaching Support Assistant:

• Attainment of a high school diploma or a GED is a common prerequisite for many opportunities.
• Proficiency demonstrated in all aspects of English language usage (speaking, reading, writing).
