In this capacity, you will work within a collaborative team, serving as a representation of U-Haul by delivering exceptional service to customers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary support for their journeys through equipment inspection and upkeep. Additionally, you will assist customers and manage equipment dispatch and returns through the use of modern technology. This position provides opportunities for hands-on learning. U-Haul's approach emphasizes prompt hiring and payment, enabling individuals to commence work and receive compensation immediately. By scheduling two practical working interviews, you can receive payment for each session.

Responsibilities of Vehicle Rental Agent:

• Assist customers at a U-Haul center with various U-Haul offerings and solutions both inside the facility and in the vicinity.
• Make use of U-Scan technology integrated into smartphones to oversee rental processes and inventory tracking.
• Shift and link U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and cleanse the machinery situated on the lot and ensure that fluid levels are within the required parameters.
• Educate customers about the features and benefits of products and services while addressing their questions.
• Issue rental invoices and process the return of rented goods.
• Establish hitch installations and electrical setups for towing purposes.
• Achieve the certification required for refilling propane tanks, a program facilitated by U-Haul for their employees
• Handling a forklift (certification provided by U-Haul when starting the job) is a crucial aspect of the role
• Further obligations may be assigned as needed
• Take advantage of the learning opportunities available at U-Haul University to improve as a Vehicle Rental Agent

Qualifications of Vehicle Rental Agent:

• Maintaining a valid driver's license and the capacity to sustain a commendable driving track record
• The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or an equivalent credential
