Job Overview

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of large companies with annual gross sales of $50MM–$500MM.

  • Develop trusted advisory relationships with senior executives (CEO, CFO, COO).

  • Lead and coordinate with One Bank partners to implement relationship strategies.

  • Provide banking solutions (loans, treasury management, capital markets) tailored to client needs.

  • Participate in public debt issuance and community activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new high-value client relationships (“lead left” opportunities).

  • Grow long-term, profitable relationships independently.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to deepen and acquire new client relationships.

  • Attend community and industry events to expand networks and market knowledge.

Portfolio Management

  • Partner with Treasury, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, and other One Bank partners to develop tailored client strategies.

  • Conduct relationship strategy review meetings with internal partners and client advisors.

  • Manage relationships to maximize bank opportunity while balancing risk and client needs.

Client Experience

  • Meet regularly with clients to strengthen trusted advisor relationships.

  • Lead all client-facing activities, including credit support and capital markets engagement.

  • Use CRM for tracking client activity, pipeline management, and reporting.

  • Apply consultative selling skills and commercial playbook principles.

Credit Excellence

  • Analyze financial information to guide credit decisions.

  • Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on credit requests.

  • Monitor client financial performance, industry trends, and risk exposure.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No formal supervisory responsibilities.

  • Provide guidance to Commercial RM I & II.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of Commercial Banking experience; 9+ years in relationship management preferred.

  • Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent experience.

  • Underwriting experience preferred.

  • Strong business acumen, financial statement analysis, and understanding of accounting principles.

  • Knowledge of Commercial, Treasury Management, and alternative financing options.

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to assess client needs, drivers of profitability, and offer optimized solutions.

  • Proven ability to work in a team-based sales environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools preferred.

  • Regional/local travel required.
