Position Summary

The Membership Manager is responsible for driving membership sales and managing the performance of the membership team. This role involves goal setting, training, coaching, and maintaining high levels of customer service to ensure a positive member experience and strong retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the membership department

• Achieve and exceed monthly sales and revenue goals

• Recruit, train, and motivate Membership Advisors to meet individual and team targets

• Lead by example by actively participating in the sales process, including conducting tours and following up with leads

• Create outreach strategies to generate leads and build relationships in the local community

• Maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, and follow-ups using CRM tools

• Ensure all team members provide exceptional service and adhere to company sales standards

• Support member retention efforts through engagement and consistent communication

• Collaborate with the General Manager and other departments to align sales strategies with club initiatives

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales or membership management (fitness industry preferred)

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred

• Strong leadership, organizational, and team-building skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Sales-driven mindset with the ability to close deals and motivate others to do the same

• Proficiency in CRM and sales tracking systems

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
