ABOUT THIS JOB

The U.S. Army or Army Reserve enlistment is a mandatory commitment for this position.

As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, you'll supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles and select armored vehicles that serve the Army in a variety of mission-critical roles. Career opportunities range from heating and cooling mechanics to vehicle mechanics who service aircraft, wheeled and tracked vehicles, heavy equipment and watercraft.

Upon completion of the program, individuals will have honed their skills in Maintenance & Repairs, Electronic Troubleshooting, and Electrical Systems, with a plethora of 124 nationally recognized certifications waiting to be earned

JOB DUTIES

• In charge of overseeing the upkeep and servicing of the Army's fleet of vehicles and equipment
• Carry out maintenance, inspection, repair, replacement, fine-tuning, adjustment, and testing on wheeled vehicles, material handling equipment, and automotive electrical systems

REQUIREMENTS

• 10 weeks of Basic Training conveys a lengthy but essential ten-week period dedicated to instilling recruits with the fundamental skills and mindset required for military service
• The training period for Advanced Individual Training is 14 weeks long
• U.S. Citizen
• The target population for this falls between 17 and 34 years old
• The acquisition of a high school diploma or a GED validates a person's competence in meeting the educational standards at the secondary level
• Meet Tattoo Guidelines
• No significant transgressions of the law have been reported
• No Medical Concerns
