About the Role

Your role as a Visual Display Manager involves enhancing the overall customer experience by upholding consistent visual standards and commercial practices. Working closely with the store team, you will utilize your awareness of the latest trends to execute visual and commercial strategies that comply with established guidelines in order to actively enhance sales performance. Leading and guiding the Visual Merchandiser team, you will focus on training and developing their capabilities to maintain a reliable talent pool within your store.

A Day's Journey

Being on the H&M team ensures that daily routines are diverse, with a range of responsibilities to manage each day, including the following

Customer Sales & Profit focuses on the income and financial gains generated through customer interactions

  • Improve the complete OMNI customer experience within your store by monitoring and adjusting visual and commercial curation to meet the set guidelines
  • It is crucial to uphold a favorable representation of both yourself and the H&M Brand when engaging with customers directly
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager, Area Visual Manager, and Store teams to define, put into action, and monitor progress towards store visual and commercial targets
  • Guide your VM team to arrange, strategize, and order tasks according to the store activation blueprint, and modify as needed to suit business demands in partnership with the Store Management team and Area Visual Manager
  • Ensure that the latest worldwide campaigns and sales events are launched and concluded punctually in adherence to H&M Brand Standards, in collaboration with the Store Management team and Area Visual Manager
  • Support in the proper upkeep of garments, monitoring stock quantities, and offering suggestions for distributing inventory among Store Management and Area teams
  • Engage in the analysis of sales data (KPIs) to track progress, recognize, and sequence visual and business chances in collaboration with the Store Management team
  • Make sure your VM group formulates streamlined and impactful initiatives to enhance customer happiness with the aim of achieving sales milestones, store objectives, budgetary limitations, and necessary follow-up strategies in coordination with the Store Management squad
  • Implement best practices for OMNI services, operational procedures, legal compliance, and communication strategies throughout the store in collaboration with the Store Management team

Familiarity with the newest designs and popular fashion themes is crucial for staying trendy and fashionable

  • Stay current with the fashion world by keeping track of trends, styles, brands, and influencers that shape the industry.
  • Support the growth and learning of your VM team by encouraging them to dedicate time to staying informed about fashion trends and theories. Creating mood boards can enhance their styling skills and product presentations, ultimately enhancing the customer shopping experience

Team & Development

  • Lead your retail team through inspiration, serving as an educational resource to keep them informed about seasonal variations, current fashion vogues, essential visual and commercial insights, and effective in-store communication strategies, such as managing customer price perceptions
  • Provide coaching to the VM and Store teams to improve their visual and commercial aptitude in order to maintain a superior level of product display and commercial presentation as per the specified standards
  • Support & develop daily routines and best practices for your Store team to always ensure a consistent level of visual & commercial standard while maintaining customer service engagement
  • Responsible for overseeing the hiring, integration, appraisal, training, and advancement of talents and fresh team members in collaboration with the Store Manager and Area Team
  • Establish an effective succession planning process to identify and develop potential talents within your store to fill key roles as needed
  • Arrange, deliver, and conduct visual and commercial development sessions for you and your peers
  • Guarantees that the Visual Competences & Commercial 4 All training programs are completed by all Store teams in accordance with the learning and development targets set for the respective regions and sales markets
  • Support the Sales and Area departments by supplying skilled personnel needed for store project growth

Implementation of visual and commercial tactics

  • Accountable for overseeing the visual presentation, merchandise layout, and styling within the store according to the commercial calendar, allocation schedule, store promotions, and trend forecasts while adhering to established visual and commercial standards
  • Guide and supervise your visual merchandising team in adhering to recommended procedures for selecting samples, encompassing detailed tracking of stock levels for apparel, accessories, and shoes, to align with the artistic and business guidelines, resulting in the creation of compelling trends and narratives
  • Your VM team needs to adhere to the visual and commercial guidelines to ensure that the execution of window displays and styling aligns with creating a captivating and sales-driven customer experience
  • To ensure a smooth customer flow, it is essential to organize the commercial layout and position fixtures thoughtfully to highlight popular products and tell a compelling trend story effectively
  • It is important to ensure that the VM and Store teams maintain a harmonious and well-maintained presentation of price signs in windows and all areas of the store, adhering to the prescribed rules according to the Global strategy and Sales Market demands
  • Assist in coordinating with Facilities Management to guarantee proper functionality of all lighting installations, strategically positioned to accentuate our products and window presentations throughout the retail space
  • Preserve and maintain all display forms and interior materials, considering sustainability as a priority
  • Collaborate with the Area Visual Manager to uphold and update your store's navigation in alignment with the latest standards and layout of the store
  • Ensure that your store has a sufficient number of products available for purchase and promotional events, complying with local regulations
  • Ensure that the sales floor and backroom are kept tidy, structured, and secure in compliance with local safety regulations

Additional Information

The base salary is expected to fall within the range of $21.87 to $30.36 per hour
